Mail-in Repairs

NOTE: ALL radios sent in for repair and found to be improperly modified will have the improper modifications removed. If you have a "clipped" radio , and want it to stay clipped, send it to someone else!! We do NOT allow ANY radio to leave our shop in an improperly-modified condition. This policy is NOT negotiable. Any radios sent in for repair MUST include a note with the following information:

  • Full name
  • Shipping address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Make and model of radio with serial number
  • Details of the radio's problems, along with any details of any modifications desired.

If any of the above information is not provided, there will be delays in the repair.

We use email for invoicing, so if you do not have a valid email address, ask a friend or relative to help you. Payment options are either Paypal (preferred and fastest method), or a US Postal money order. No other money order types are accepted.

You may use the shipper of your choice to send us your radio. Return shipper is at our discretion, but USPS and UPS are our primary carriers.

Improper modifications include disabled AMC circuits, disabled ALC circuits, most so-called "swing kits" or "mod kits" (Diodes inserted at R238 on Galaxy/Connex chassis radios are generally ok), and any modifications found to introduce either audio or RF distortion. NPC mods done correctly are generally ok (I don't care for them personally), assuming the AMC circuitry is operating properly.
